Goodnature® Nut Butter Lure for A24 Rat and Mouse Trap

This long-lasting, non-toxic lure has a rich nut butter scent and flavour, making it highly attractive to rodents—so much so that 24 out of 24 rats choose it as their final meal. Ideal for creating an additional lure trail for your A24 rat trap or mouse trap, or for pre-baiting to encourage rodents to approach the trap.

Since rats are naturally cautious of new food sources (neophobia), we recommend placing small amounts of lure around and near the trap. This helps them become familiar with the scent and taste, increasing the likelihood that they will find and consume the bait inside the trap more quickly.

How to Attract Rats Effectively

Distribute the Lure
Sprinkle small amounts of lure around the entrance to areas where you suspect rats or mice are active. This helps them get used to the bait in the trap.
Repeat for 5 Days
Continue this process for five consecutive days. This creates a preference for the new food source and reinforces habitual behaviour.
Stop Distributing Lure
Once the rats are accustomed to the bait, discontinue external feeding so that the only remaining food source is inside the trap.
